Spotlight On - Gord & Jesse Boyes
(The Magic Boyes!)
They are a father and son magician team living in
Abbottsford, British Columbia. They picked up the desire to be
magicians while living in Las Vegas for a couple of years, and
that's where they started to learn the trade. Jesse is 13 years
old, and
Gord is a bit older.
Not only are they both members of the International Brotherhood
of Magicians, but Gord is the President and Jesse is a
Junior Director of this club, the Vancouver Magic Circle - the
largest magic club in Canada.
Jesse is the 2006 recipient of the Dick Gardner trophy, awarded
by the Vancouver Magic Circle in recognition of "excellence in
close up magic by a junior member", the
2007 Rick Honey Comedy trophy in recognition of "excellence in
comedy magic by a junior member", and the 2007 Percy Poole
trophy in recognition of "excellence in stage magic by a junior
member".
They have several acts to choose from, for children or for
adults, with experience entertaining people from 3 years old to
103! You can find them all over the lower mainland!
Gord and Jesse have been members of the V.M.C. since 2006 and hold member #'s
